Very glad to see the ship has a permanent home. I last saw her tied up by May's Shipyard in Staten Island. I hope to visit her in Key West this winter sometime and maybe I can help with some of the technical matters with my experience as Engineer on another antique former USCG vessel, the Calypso (WPC-104).

Glad to see that John Azari's dream (and my article)didn't go the way of the wreckers. Mohawk is one of the few cutters that did her sea trials by breaking ice on the Hudson River.

my father served on this very boat. in ww2 his name is john maccarelli seamen first class. he is now deceased and that is sad... he lived his golden years in florida and i only wished he could have seen mo docked at key west. .. however i salute his ship mates and wish he was here to see his ship.........thank you joseph g maccarelli
